PLANNED WATER DISRUPTION NOTICE – SIGATOKA (20/04/18)
The Water Authority of Fiji wishes to advise its customers living in the following parts of Sigatoka areas that they will be experiencing low water pressure to no water at times during the day from Friday (20/04) to Sunday (22/04).
AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE:
The purpose of this disruption is for cleaning of the Sedimentation Tanks in Matovo Water Treatment Plant. The sedimentation tanks are filled with mud as a result of recent flooding and needs to be cleaned in order to maintain a steady water supply.
Cleaning works will be commenced on Friday morning and expected to be completed by 5pm.
The supply is expected to be gradually restored from Friday afternoon up to Sunday morning (22/04/2018). Customers residing in the areas listed above are advised to store enough and use water wisely for their immediate needs during the period.
Water carts will be on standby to service the affected areas as and when the need arises.
